Oriole by Myrmirada
Sunshine and deep darkness combined into one beautiful bird with specks of bright brilliance. That's what the Oriole looks like.
Decided to create a girl who's design is based on these beauties.

Been working on this painting since about a year ago, on and off. I've spend many months not even touching the piece, but sometimes you just gotta put down a few brushstrokes on a personal piece besides all the (freelance and full-time) work. Just to keep your mind fresh and happy ^_^
Unfortunately due to the scattered timeline, I have no idea how long it took, but I can say a long time for sure hahaha.

Cooked this up in my very little free time to not go mad~  :)  Hopefully I can handle picking up my commissions again soon.

She's a witch, sorta, dodging bullets like a mad pro ^^
Thanks guys :) All the commission slots have been taken and I will make a new journal when I'm opening new slots to work on commissions.

Down below the status;

Commission 1: in progress
Commission 2: TAKEN
Commission 3: TAKEN

Beautiful gallery you have here :)
How long have you been painting for? And did you go to art school?

Beautiful, hand-painted work. I love how I feel no texture brushes at all when I admire your sculpted clay-like paintings.

do you take commissions? if so could you please make something like your twins drawing except a little more tribal, like Indian headdresses and such, and without obscuring the eyes because you do some really beautiful eyes. thank you in advance, and if not that's fine.

Hi Anna !

Your work is amazing ! It has given me the final push I needed to finally try digital painting.

Where should I begin ? Is there any perticular learning tool you've used (like Youtube) or was it merely practice coupled with trial and error ?

Your style is super awesome !

Thank you for putting your work out there, and have a great day !

Hi Olivier! ^^
Sorry for getting back to you so late hehe xD Didn't see your message until now. I suck at checking my messages ;___;

Either way! It was pretty much just a big big passion for painting with an immense desire to get better and be able to create the pretty images I held in my head. My skill didn't compare to what I could imagine so I'd paint a lot to get better so that one day it would compare :D
Practice coupled with trial and error is a good way to describe my process. I'm self taught and I didn't have anyone teaching me or attended classes to obtain my skill. I followed one short mentorship by a friend, but that was when I had already come a considerable way on my own with my art.

My best suggestion for you, as for anyone else really, would be to just make sure you find your drive to your passion. Find that one thing that will fuel your desire to improve and always. Always. Remain critical and objective about your own work. It's okay to be proud and impressed, but don't let it cloud your judgement on where your weak points are. Realize what they are, and focus on those next. Everyone can improve. ^^
The next step would be to learn to observe your environment with intensity. Inspect everything around you and learn and remember it, how it looks and how it works. This will be your visual library which will help you immensely.
Then the one thing left to do besides that is practice, practice hard. :)

Good luck! :D
Glad you like my art work btw ;) I'm happy it inspires you, I'll continue to share it!
